Acupuncture in Rosedale
Auckland Wellness Centre's acupuncture team works from the same Rosedale clinic as our chiropractors, so disc, joint and nerve problems can be treated from both sides in one visit. Sessions run 60 minutes. We are ACC registered for acupuncture: for an accepted injury your visit has no surcharge with selected acupuncturists, $10 to $20 with others. Private acupuncture is $80 for the initial visit and $70 for follow-ups. Korean Sa-am and Chinese TCM approaches, consultations in English, Korean and Mandarin.

Disc Treatment Without Surgery
Non-surgical spinal decompression on the Win Trac 100 table, led by clinic director Dr. Jun Chung. Used for disc bulge, disc herniation and sciatica alongside chiropractic care, not instead of it. ACC $30 · Private $50 per session. Whether decompression suits your presentation is decided at assessment; it is not right for everyone and we will say so.
The table applies a slow, controlled cycle of gentle pull and release to a specific spinal segment, aiming to reduce pressure across the affected disc so irritated tissue has a better environment to settle. You lie down fully clothed; most patients find it comfortable.
Patients with imaging-confirmed disc bulge or herniation, sciatica or nerve-root irritation who want a non-surgical option, and who are suitable on examination. Part of the first visit is working out honestly whether decompression is the best use of your time, or whether chiropractic adjustment, acupuncture or a referral is.
Decompression is paired with chiropractic adjustment to restore how the segment moves, and with acupuncture where muscle guarding or nerve pain is prominent. A typical course is reviewed at set intervals so you can see whether it is helping before continuing.
