How ACC Works at AWC

ACC is New Zealand’s accident compensation scheme. It covers treatment costs for physical injuries — no need to pay out of pocket if you have an eligible claim.

Step 01

No Referral Required

You can book directly with Auckland Wellness Centre. There is no need to visit a GP first. Call us on 09 600 1939 or book online.

Step 02

We Register Your Claim

At your first appointment, your chiropractor will assess your injury and register your ACC claim on your behalf. Your acupuncturist can treat you as part of your ACC-funded care, with paperwork handled for you.

Step 03

Pay the Co-payment Only

Once your claim is accepted, you pay only the ACC co-payment per visit. ACC covers the remainder directly with the clinic.

No. You can book directly at Auckland Wellness Centre without a GP referral. Our chiropractors are ACC registered and can register your claim at your first appointment. Our acupuncturists are also ACC-registered treatment providers, so your acupuncture is covered under the same claim.
ACC pricing applies when you have an injury eligible under the Accident Compensation Act — a fall, sports injury, workplace incident, or motor vehicle accident. Private pricing applies to non-injury conditions such as postural issues, chronic pain management, or general wellness care.
Yes. ACC covers physical injuries that occur while you are in New Zealand, regardless of your visa status. This includes tourists, international students, and work visa holders. If you have an injury that occurred in NZ, you are eligible.
Your initial consultation includes a thorough health history review, postural and orthopaedic assessment, neurological testing where relevant, diagnosis, a treatment plan discussion, and typically your first treatment in the same session. Allow approximately 45–60 minutes.
ACC acupuncture pricing depends on which practitioner you see. Dr. Robin Won and Dr. Boram Kim charge $20 per ACC visit (or $10 for patients aged 70+). Our other acupuncturists — Elaine Yang, Mike Lee, and Ada Zhong — provide ACC acupuncture at no cost to you. Private rates start at $80 for an initial consultation.
We accept EFTPOS, credit/debit cards, and cash. Payment is collected at the time of each visit. All prices are GST inclusive.
Cancellation & Waitlist

Please give us 24 hours’ notice

We keep a waitlist for most appointment times, and when a spot opens up early we can offer it to another patient who is waiting for care. Giving us as much notice as you can means your time can go to someone who needs it, so we would be grateful for at least 24 hours’ notice whenever you need to reschedule or cancel.
